Aftersell is a post-purchase upsell and cross-sell platform. Order Editing integrates seamlessly with Aftersell, allowing both applications to work together for an enhanced post-purchase experience.

How Aftersell Works with Order Editing

Aftersell presents customers with post-purchase offers after they complete checkout. Order Editing's integration ensures that both platforms work harmoniously, allowing customers to both accept upsell offers and edit their orders.

Setting Up Aftersell Integration

Step 1: Enable the Integration Toggle

1. Navigate to Order Editing settings in your Shopify Admin

2. Find the Aftersell integration section

3. Enable the toggle to activate compatibility mode

4. Save your settings

Step 2: Verify Compatibility

Once enabled, Order Editing will work alongside Aftersell with full post-purchase compatibility:

• Customers can receive Aftersell upsell offersCustomers can also edit their orders during the editing windowBoth features function without conflict

How the Integration Works

Customer Flow:

1. Customer completes checkout

2. Aftersell presents post-purchase offers (if configured)

3. Customer accepts/declines Aftersell offers

4. Order Editing grace period begins

5. Customer can edit their order during the editing window

6. Both Aftersell additions and order edits are processed

Testing Your Integration

Required Tests:

Before going live, test the following scenarios:

Test 1: Aftersell Upsell Flow

1. Place a test order

2. Accept an Aftersell post-purchase offer

3. Verify the upsell is added to the order correctly

Test 2: Order Editing Flow

1. Place a test order (with or without Aftersell offer)

2. Access the order editing page

3. Make an edit to the order

4. Verify the edit processes correctly

Test 3: Combined Flow

1. Place a test order

2. Accept an Aftersell offer

3. Then make an edit using Order Editing

4. Verify both the upsell and edit are reflected in the final order

Verification Checklist:

• Aftersell toggle is enabled in Order Editing settings

• Aftersell upsells work correctly

• Order edits work correctly
