Attentive is a conversational commerce platform that enables personalized SMS and email marketing. Order Editing integrates with Attentive to sync order changes, ensuring your marketing data stays accurate and up-to-date.

What Syncs to Attentive

When customers edit their orders through Order Editing, the following changes are automatically synced to Attentive:

• Shipping edits - Address changes, shipping method upgrades

• Line item changes - Products added, removed, or quantity modified

• Payment methods - Updated payment information

This ensures your Attentive customer profiles and marketing automation workflows have accurate order data.

How the Integration Works

Data Sync Flow:

1. Customer completes checkout → Order data syncs to Attentive

2. Customer edits order → Changes detected by Order Editing

3. Edit is processed → Order Editing syncs changes to Attentive

4. Attentive updates → Customer profile reflects the edited order

Setting Up Attentive Integration

Step 1: Connect Attentive

1. Navigate to Order Editing settings in your Shopify Admin

2. Find the Attentive integration section

3. Connect your Attentive account

4. Authorize the data sync permissions

Step 2: Configure Sync Settings

1. Choose which order changes to sync:

5. Save your configuration

Step 3: Verify Connection

1. Place a test order

2. Make an edit to the order

3. Verify the change appears in Attentive

Test 1: Shipping Edit Sync

2. Remove one product from the order

3. Check Attentive → Verify updated line items appear

Test 3: Shipping Upgrade Sync

1. Place a test order with standard shipping

2. Upgrade to express shipping during editing window
