Available to all Shopify account types, the One-Click AOV Upsell is a pop-up upsell that appears after payment is authorized but before the Thank You page. Customers can add products to their order with a single click—no need to re-enter payment details.
Important: This upsell only displays in your store's native currency.

Setting Up One-Click AOV Upsell
Step 1: Create Your Upsell Strategy
Navigate to Upsell Strategies in your Order Editing dashboard
Click Create New Strategy
Select One-Click AOV Upsell
Follow the prompts to configure your strategy (see examples below)
Click Save
Step 2: Enable Order Editing Post Purchase
Navigate to Settings > Checkout
Locate Post-purchase page
Toggle on Order Editing
Click Save

Simple Example: Broad Targeting
Goal: Show upsell all customers with relevant product recommendations
Setup:
Rule: None
Shows to the majority of customers
Product Module: Related Product
Automatically finds products that align with what customer is buying

Goal: Create a tailored upsell sequence for specific product buyers
Setup:
Rule: Product in cart is "Skateboard"
First Upsell: Single Product - Skateboard Trucks
If customer accepts: Show second upsell for Wheels
If customer declines: Show alternative upsell for different trucks
Strategy Discount: 30%
Result: Skateboarders see highly relevant accessories. If they want the trucks, they're offered wheels next. If they decline trucks, they're offered an alternative trucks

Step-by-Step: Creating Your Strategy
1. Set Your Rule (Trigger)
Define when the upsell appears:
Examples:
Order value greater than $X
Specific product is in cart
Order contains products from specific collection
2. Choose Product Module
Select how products are chosen:
Examples:
Related Product - Automatically suggests complementary items
Single Product - Manually select one specific product
Product Collection - Show products from a selected collection
3. Set Strategy Discount
Enter the discount percentage for the upsell product:
Example:
20% for broad appeal
30% for targeted, high-value upsells
0% for general upsell
4. Configure Sequential Upsells (Optional)

If customer accepts first upsell:
Select a complementary product to show next
Set discount for second upsell
If customer declines first upsell:
Select an alternative product (often lower price point)
Set discount for alternative offer
5. Save and Activate
Click Save and your One-Click AOV Upsell strategy is live.

For Simple Strategies:
Use "Related Product" module for automatic, relevant suggestions
Don’t set a rule to reach all customers
Offer 15-25% discount for attractive but profitable upsells
Test different discounts to find your sweet spot
For Advanced Strategies:
Target specific product buyers for highly relevant upsells
Create sequential offers to maximize each customer opportunity
Use higher discounts (25-35%) for targeted, strategic upsells
