Overview

Dexion is a warehouse management and fulfillment system. Dexion reads live order edits directly from Shopify, making integration straightforward without requiring delayed payment capture or hold flows.

Integration method required: None (Reads Live Edits)

How Dexion Downloads Orders

Dexion synchronizes with Shopify and reads order data in real-time. Because Dexion reads live edits, any changes customers make during the editing window are automatically reflected in Dexion without additional configuration.

How the Integration Works

Order Flow with Order Editing:

1. Order created → Customer completes checkout

2. Order syncs to Dexion → Dexion receives the initial order

3. Grace period active → Customer can edit their order (e.g., 30 minutes)

4. Customer makes edits → Changes sync to Dexion in real-time

5. Grace period ends → Editing window expires

6. Dexion processes order → Order fulfilled with all edits included

Setting Up Dexion Integration

Step 1: Verify Dexion Connection

1. Ensure your Dexion integration is properly connected to Shopify

2. Verify that orders are syncing correctly from Shopify to Dexion

Step 2: Configure Order Editing

1. Navigate to Order Editing settings in your Shopify admin

2. Set your desired editing window duration (e.g., 30 minutes)

3. Enable the editing features you want to offer customers

Step 3: No Additional Flow Required

Since Dexion reads live edits, you do not need to set up:

• Delayed Payment Capture FlowHold/Release FlowTag-based synchronization

Dexion will automatically receive any order changes made during the editing window.

Key Configuration Notes

• Dexion reads live edits from Shopify

• No special flow required - edits sync automatically

• Standard Order Editing setup is sufficient

• Verify your Dexion-Shopify connection is active

Testing Your Integration

Required Tests:

Before going live, test the following scenarios to ensure Dexion integration works correctly:

Test 1: Edit Synchronization

1. Place a test order with multiple items

2. During editing window, remove one or more products

3. Check Dexion immediately after the edit

4. Verify Dexion shows the updated order with correct items

Test 2: Address Change

1. Place a test order

2. During editing window, change the shipping address

3. Check Dexion

4. Verify the updated address appears in Dexion

General Test Flow:

1. Place test order

2. Check Dexion → Order should appear with initial details

3. Make edits during editing window

4. Check Dexion again → Edits should be reflected immediately

5. Wait for editing period to expire

6. Verify final order in Dexion matches all changes made
