ShipVine
ShipVine is a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) company that does not read live edits. Orders must be finalized before ShipVine downloads them.
Integration method required: ON-HOLD Flow
How ShipVine Downloads Orders
ShipVine downloads orders when the fulfillment status is "Fulfilled" or "Fulfilled Hold Release" in Shopify.
How the Integration Works
Order created → "ON-HOLD" tag applied
Grace period active → Customer can edit order
ShipVine does not download → Order not released (still on hold)
Grace period ends → "Fulfillment release" tag applied
ShipVine downloads order → Order sent with all edits included
Setup Instructions
Import ON-HOLD Master Flow
Download HOLD_Order Editing_Master Flow.flow
Navigate to Shopify Admin > Apps > Shopify Flow
Import the Flow file
Configure timing to match your editing deadline (e.g., 30 minutes)
Activate the Flow
Save
Note: This Master Flow applies the "ON-HOLD" tag during the editing window and applies the "Fulfillment release" tag when the editing period ends.
Important: Payment capture settings in Shopify do NOT need to be changed. Leave on Automatic.
Settings Summary
In Shopify:
Payment capture: Automatic (no change needed)
Shopify Flow: ON-HOLD Master Flow active
In Order Editing:
Editing Deadline: Configured
Testing
Test before going live:
Place test order
Verify "ON-HOLD" tag is applied immediately
Check that order doesn't appear in ShipVine yet
Make edits during editing window (add/remove items, change address)
Wait for editing period to expire
Verify "Fulfillment release" tag is applied
Confirm order appears in ShipVine with all edits
Troubleshooting
Orders appearing in ShipVine too early: Verify ON-HOLD tag is being applied by the Flow
Orders not releasing after grace period: Check that "Fulfillment release" tag is being applied when editing period ends
Edits not reflecting: Ensure edits were completed before grace period ended (ShipVine doesn't read live edits)
Tags not appearing: Review Flow configuration and verify it's active
