What is Bundle Editing?
Bundle Editing allows you to control how customers can edit product bundles in their orders after purchase. You can set rules for what changes are allowed within bundled products.
Understanding Bundle Editing Options
If your store sells product bundles, you have several options for managing how customers can edit them:
Option 1: Allow All Bundle Edits
Customers can freely change any products within their bundles during the editing window.
Option 2: Disallow All Bundle Edits
Customers cannot make any changes to bundled products—bundles remain locked as purchased.
Option 3: Same Price Tier or Lower
Customers can only swap bundle items for products in the same price tier or lower, preventing them from upgrading to more expensive items without paying the difference.
How to Configure Bundle Editing
Navigate to Settings > Bundle Editing
Select your preferred editing rule:
Allow all edits - No restrictions on bundle changes
Disallow all edits - Bundles cannot be modified
Same price tier or lower - Customers can swap for equal or lesser-priced items
Click Save
Bundle App Integration
Connecting Your Bundle App
We integrate with various different third-party bundle apps. If you use one of these, you'll need to grant Order Editing permission to manage bundles through that app.
How to Set Up Integration
In the Bundle Editing section, locate Bundle App Integration
Click Connect App or Manage Integration
You'll be directed to an integration prompt page
Grant permissions to allow Order Editing to access your bundle app
Confirm the integration
Note: Order Editing needs access to your bundle app to properly recognize and manage bundle edits according to your settings.
Best practices
Use Disallow if you sell fixed or promotional bundles.
Use Same price only to keep pricing consistent across swaps.
Use Same or lower price to allow flexibility without refunding.
Use Any price if you want to offer full control to your customers.
Important note: Order Editing is not able to upsell bundles on any surface with the exception of the bundle being in a checkout / free shipping upsell. In this instance, the app that bundled the products together must be installed.
