What is Localisation?

Localisation allows Order Editing to display in your customers' preferred language and lets you customise the wording and phrases used throughout the app to match your brand voice.

Available Languages

Order Editing supports multiple languages that you can enable based on your customer base. You can activate as many languages as needed for your store. You also have the option to lock a language to a specific region.

How to Enable Languages

  1. Navigate to Settings > Localisation

  2. Browse the list of available languages

  3. Toggle ON for each language you want to enable

  4. Click Save


Customizing Text and Phrases

Why Customize Text?

You may want to change the default wording in Order Editing to:

  • Match your brand's tone of voice

  • Use terminology familiar to your customers

  • Adjust phrasing for clarity in different markets

  • Localize expressions for regional dialects

How to Customize Text

  1. In the Localisation section, click Add Translation

  2. Select the language you want to customize

  3. Enter the Original text - The current phrase you want to change

  4. Enter your Translated text - What you want it to say instead

  5. Click Save or Add

  6. Repeat for any additional text changes

Example:

  • Original text: "Edit your order"

  • New text: "Modify your purchase"


Troubleshooting: Changes Not Appearing

Customized text can take up to 15 minutes to appear on your store. If it still isn’t appear beyond this time, here's how to fix it:

  1. Go to your Shopify theme editor or checkout settings

  2. Remove the Order Editing block from your checkout

  3. Re-add the Order Editing block

  4. Save your changes

This refresh should resolve the issue and display your customized text correctly.
