Payment Terms
What is Payment Terms?
Payment Terms is a setting designed for merchants who sell to other businesses (B2B). This setting ensures Order Editing works correctly with business customer payment terms and net payment schedules.
Who Needs This Setting?
Enable this setting if you:
Sell to business customers (B2B)
Offer payment terms
Have wholesale customers with special payment arrangements
Use Shopify's B2B features
Use buy now, pay later or other features based on receiving payment at a later date while still shipping out products.
How to Enable B2B Payment Terms
Navigate to Settings > B2B Payment Terms
Toggle "Allow OrderEditing to read your payment terms" to ON
Toggle “OrderEditing needs permission to view your payment terms.” to ON
Click Save
Note: This setting must be manually enabled by the merchant.. It is not turned on by default.
Release Uncaptured Funds
If you have the above settings enabled, you can also automatically release uncaptured funds back to the customer after the editing deadline if our customer chooses to downgrade their order during the period.
