What are Hidden Products?

Hidden Products prevent specific products or SKUs from being discovered or added by customers when they're editing their order. These products become invisible in all post-purchase editing features, including upsells and product searches.

Why Hide Products?

Some products shouldn't be available for customers to add during the editing window. Hiding these products protects your business from potential issues and maintains a smooth editing experience.

How Hidden Products Work

Once a product is hidden:

  • It will not appear in upsell suggestions

  • Customers cannot search for or find it in the product catalog during editing

Note: Customers can still edit hidden products if they're already in their order (for example, removing them if Order Downgrade is enabled). This setting only prevents customers from adding these products during the editing window.

How to Hide Products

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Order Editing dashboard

  2. Scroll to the Hidden Products section

  3. Select products by searching Name, SKU, Tag or Type of product.

  4. Click Save Changes

Best Practice

At a minimum, we recommend hiding all gift cards and free products to protect your business. Review your product catalogue for any other items that shouldn't be added post-purchase, such as:

  • Free gift items

  • Sample products

  • Employee-only items

  • Promotional products with specific rules

  • shipping , protection etc
